Deaglán de Bréadún is one of Ireland 's most experienced journalists. He spent many years with the Irish Times, as Editor of the North, as Foreign Affairs Correspondent, as Political Correspondent, as Irish Language Editor and in other positions. Subsequently, he was Political Editor with the Irish Sun and Local Radio Correspondent with the Houses of the Oireachtas. His other books include Power Play: The Rise of Modern Sinn Féin (Merrion Press) and Headlines: The Life of a Journalist (Cois Life). He is also a member of the Press Council of Ireland.
