Ceramic impressed with Irish linen & Lace
Carol is both a teacher and an Artist. She has a fine art textile background. Her passion for textiles and clay can be seen in her most recent body of work. Fascinated by old Irish linen and lace Carol impresses their texture into the ceramic surface. Often the lace will be something sourced from her grandmother’s treasured seeing box. The work is hand built from earthenware clay and the coloured glazes are chosen to best show the delicate lace and linen patterns.
